Mushrooms - Lunchbag

Here is a photo of my new lunchbag.

It is a polka-dot oilcloth one with I decorated with 4 mushroom buttons.

Found the buttons (cross stitch style) in my local haberdahy shop.

Smuggler Bosson Head

Today I bought this little smuggler in a charity shop.

He was so cheap that I couldn't resit.

It is a Bosson head (smuggler, 1959).

He is not bigger than a hand!

Maybe I can use it for my pirate bedroom project?

Anette Eriksson Lighthouse Kit / Pillow

Last week I was bargain hunting on ebay uk. 

Bought me this Anette Eriksson Lighthouse kit for just

6 pounds (incl. shipping)! 

In the kit is the chart, needle, ready made pillow cover with backing 

and zip and navyblue thread!!!!!! The pillow is great front: 11 ct Aida, 

back: navyblue fabric.

My camera is not working so I used the photos of the lighthouse kit

 from A. Eriksson website.

On the other photos you can see some of my cross stitch 

projects which are in our rental seaside chalet (living room). 

This year I will stitch again little projects for it. 

I am not sure if I stitch the lighthouse on the pillow.....maybe I frame 

it in a hoop. 

I will not wash every week the pillow!!!!!

DMC Kit - ABC "Côte Ouest"

Here is a photo of my new kit DMC - ABC "Côte Ouest" / BK 1600 which I bought last week in Brugges / Belgium.

I know I have lots of projects but this is a very simple kit (no fractionals or back stitches). Perfect for a very hot day on the decking.

Nautical Coaster

This coaster is really perfect! 

Unlike other coasters they closed perfectly

with the fabric inside.

I am really happy with the end result. 

Will definitely be buying more myself.

Shopping / How to store my threads

Today I received my order from sewandso! 

I try to tidy up my material.

At the moment I have just a chaos. 

I have lots of different threads (DMC,

Anchor, thread with no label stickers).

In the past I put it in plastic bags..and than my bags disappeared!!!

I ordered 3 DMC,storage boxes, needles, DMC plastic floss bobbins,

DMC stranded cotton number stickers, 

2 square acrylic coaster, 2 clear plastic bookmark covers.

I bought me also the lastest issue of The World of Cross Stitching.

Now I spent my pocket money for this month!!!!

Vintage postcard- Life is a beach part 3

Here is the next update of my second nautical postcard.

Some weeks ago I bought some fabric, pegs and a photo frame.

I will cover the back of the frame with the light blue fabric (with tiny white dots).

I stitched also some tiny nautical charts designed by V. Enginger.

I will display them betweem the postcards.

I can use them also for my little nautical dollshouse beach house.

My new Sewing Machine

Here are photos of my new sewing machine

It is a Bernette Sublime London 3.

It is the some construction like a Bernina 15 sewing machine.

I won it last month on ebay Germany for just € 96,00!!!!

The machine is new and I have a guarantee for 1 year.

Now I can finish some of my little cross stitch projects.

Fish Trap

I have a new lamp / candle for my holiday home.

The wire container with the rope looks like a fish trap or?

For safety reason I put a LED candle in it.

Pirates Button - New Craft Material

I have some new craft material!

I like the buttons with the little pirates.

I will do some little projects for the kids bedroom (holiday home).

Maybe some fabric flowers?

Seaside Motives / Basket

Last week I went to my local charity shop. 

I bought there 4 white little plastic baskets and an orange one for each 0,25 €!!!

Inside there is glas container. Looks like a flower pot for my.

As a new cross stitcher it was a challenge for me to cross stitch on plastic canvas.

I used 3 stands for the cross stiches and two for the backstich.

I will stich more nautical motives on the white ones and halloween motives on the orange (a black cat......).

The little baskets are for the bathroom (for cosmetic articles).

In the shop I found also a little blue metal bucket (7 cm tall) for 0,40 €.
