Bring me sunshine!!!!

#

This week there was a lot of rain and wind at the seaside
so I decided to stitch the Bring me Sunshine-kit.
And yes it works.

Today there was no rain and a lot of sunshine!!!

The kit was designed by Jane Prutton (Cross Stitcher Magazine 294 - July 2015).

Unfortunately the evenweave fabric is to
small to create later the fab sunglasses case.

I start stitching everything on aida fabric which I had already in my stash.

Have a nice day

Love Bug Cushion Project Part 5

Yesterday I have finished my love bug.
Now it looks like a Volkswagen Beetle.

As you can see I have done some modifications.

As I mentioned in one of my posts before I stitch on 11 count Aida instead of 12.
I found the Aida fabric holes to big in the screen so I decided to fill them. I stiched windows in the same
colours like the spotlights.
For the wheels I used 4 strands of black thread. I stiched them before in 3 but the white fabric shone through.
I will also stich the backstich in 2 strands.

I hope you like my love bug.

Have a nice Sunday

Love Bug Cushion Project Part 3

Here is my next update of my Love Bug project.
Now I have stiched some more flowers.

If you grew up like me in Germany in the 1970s and 1980s,
you'll remember the Pril flowers,
flower shaped stickers included as premiums with bottles of detergent.
Turn out they were almost impossible to get off again.
As a child I put them on my new bunk bed!!!!

Here is an update of my Love Bug Project.

As you see I was stiching like crazy!
Today I will stich more flowers and tomorrow I have to buy
again yellow thread!

I hope to finish my Love Bug this weekend so I can concentrate
of my magazine rack. I have to stich the back.

Have a nice day

Love Bug Cushion Project Part 1

Last friday I have started with my Love Bug Project!!
At the moment my VW Beetle looks more like a yellow submarine!

I really like it!!!!!!

I stich on 11 count Aida. Cross Stitcher magazine recommend
to stitch on 12 count Aida fabric but I had only 11 in my stash.

Have a nice weekend
