Hippy Holidays - Part 1

Today I went to my local charity shop where I bought a striped summer jeans
for just 1,00 €!!! That is really a bargain!!! The fabric (jeans) is perfect for one
of my future stitching projects:

the Hippy Holidays by Angela Poole
Cross Stitcher, Spring 2011

My to-do-list is getting longer and longer.....
but first I will stitch more little projects for our rental holiday home.

Enjoy

Fishes

For the living room I have stitched 3 little fishes.

Now I have to sew and stuff them.

I will add them to the wooden ones.
I was not happy with the white ones - on a white wall....

Do you like them?

Ship Ahoy

I have finished my project of the week.

I added  little bows and nautical embellishments (a wheel and a life-saver).
I think it looks nice in the kids bedroom.

Project of the week / Little Boats

Here is a photo of my project of the week.

Little boats for the kids bedroom (for our holiday accomodation at the Belgium seaside).
At the moment I stitch only little nautical projects (I am just a cross stitch beginner).
It is really nice to have handmade decoration.

Greetings from Belgium

Beach Hut / Doorstop part 1 / August SAL

Sun, sand and stripes....

I have stitched this little cute beach hut.
I really like it..it looks so fresh!

In the Cross Stitcher Magazine August 2011 is also a tutorial
how to do a beach hut doorstop.
For the doorstop I will use the blue/stripe fabric (walls) and for the roofing blue or red felt.
Maybe I find also a miniature seagull.

Here on the campingsite in Belgium I have not a sewing machine so I will finish this project later.

Have a nice day
